8Fold have been playing together for 3 years, and with a strong live act have primarily focused on gigging as a means to secure a fan base. Performing all over the UK and recently in Europe, 8Fold have supported artists such as Soweto Kinch, Rodney P, Acoustic Ladyland and Akala. This summer 8Fold will be supporting Bonobo (with The Heritage Orchestra) at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival and playing in Europe as part of the Modball Rally.
In 2007 we achieved a synchronisation license with THQ for the Sony PSP game ‘Juiced Eliminator’ and have interest from a sync agent for a non-exclusive deal.
8Fold has to date 48,000 hits, and over 70,000 plays on their myspace page.
Having set the groundwork, we are now at a stage where we are looking for a manager to represent 8Fold. We need someone with experience in the process of releasing a record and who can actively seek licensing opportunities for the album from larger record labels.
It's a really exciting time for the band with a product we are confident is market ready. If this project interests you, we would like to set up a meeting at your convenience to discuss these matters further.
I’m a professional musician mainly based in London, UK. I’ve been playing drums and percussion professionally with the likes of Tom Jones, Chicane, Sonique, Kyle LeRoc, Sophie Ellis-Bexter, Radio One DJ Dave Pierce to name a few. I’ve done tour dates, club gigs and TV shows incl. Top of the Pops, Friday Night with Jonathan Ross, Paul O’Grady Show etc.
My unique approach to performing includes crazy showmanship, stick twirling and juggling while keeping some flavorful grooves going, always pushing the boundaries of what is humanly possible...
As the resident percussionist at Po-na-na (formerly Hammersmith Palais) and the Hippodrome I had the pleasure of entertaining thousands of clubbers. I also brought my energetic style and Glow-In-The-Dark Percussion to various raves all over London; places like the Ministry of Sound, Pasha, Aquarium etc.
I’ve recently made a name for myself as a drum solo artist after a few of the drum solo clips that were posted on youtube have been downloaded and reposted many times receiving a total of over 7 million hits to date.
Active as a clinician for Paiste Cymbals doing performances around Europe (including Frankfurt’s “Musikmesse 2008”, the world’s largest music Expo).
ATLANTIS is a well established group of singers/musicians who cover the really good popular classic hits from the last 5 decades and today. With such a broad repertoire, including hits by older artists such as Cliff Richard, Elvis, The Beatles, Abba, and more recent singers KT Tunstall, Oasis and the Scissor Sisters.
The band is happy to tailor their set lists to satisfy the requirements of any event or request, no matter how bizarre!
ATLANTIS are also proud to have received the following:
Accreditation by the Surrey Federation of WI’s
Epsom and Ewell Voluntary Service award, 2007
The Bedroom Orchestra is the alter ego of Leeds based singer/songwriter Tristan Mackay.
Tristan has risen in popularity while busking professionally in Leeds over the last 18 months and in that time he released two completely independent EP's: 'Tales from a Bedroom Orchestra' and 'Live from the Lounge', a spoof live lounge session made using editing and overdubbing to create a fake interview/performance with Jo Whiley.
Tristan's music soon caught the attention of the powers that be and one of the songs from the 'Tales' EP was chosen to appear in the DVD release of the hit show 'Skins' after being recommended by fans. It can be heard on episode 4.
In late 2007, having caught the ear of various record companies, Tristan signed to Wales based Indie Label 'Red Kite Records' founded by Grammy award winning producer and engineer Martin Levin. Unfortunately the label closed before any recording took place, and Tristan is now pursuing another deal.
In May 2008, Tristan's music was showcased on BBC Radio 2.
Dirt City is songwriters Ben Locket and Brent Debernardi. Growing up in Melbourne they began honing their playing and writing skills whilst exploring early blues and traditional artists. In 2001 Ben based himself in the UK composing for TV and documentary. Brent went on to perform and record with Melbourne band Burke and has recently recorded a solo project. Reunited in London, it was inevitable that these two would work together once again. The outcome of this collaboration is their self titled debut album “Dirt City”. After a few months working on new material, what began in early 2008 culminated in two days recording at Fortress Studios with drummer, Steve Brookes (Ange and the Wagon Band), bass player, Paul Sandy (The Coal Porters) and Hammond/piano player Julian Wilson (Grand Drive). Further sessions were organised to include Simon Taylor on trumpet along with Ange Boxall (The Wagon Band) performing backing vocals, plus legendary session player BJ Cole (The Verve, REM etc) on pedal steel. Dirt City will be available online soon.
Band Members Brent Debernardi: vocals/guitars/banjo/percussion. Ben Locket: guitars/electric bass/harmonica/melodica/percussion. BJ Cole: pedal steel. Simon Taylor: trumpet. Julien Wilson: piano/hammond organ. Paul Sandy: double bass/electric bass. Steve Brookes: drums. Ange Boxall: backing vocals on “Bound”, Photography by Jamie Gramston (www.chewthefood.com) Mastered by Tom Leader, Mixed and Produced by Dirt City
Drunken Balordi are extremely hungry to make it, and after such a great start last year they are even more determined to get 2009 off to another fast start by finding a manager with the PR skills, connections and the same drive to make this possible.
If you feel you have the energy to match this band and are interested, please let us know so we could arrange a meeting to discuss the possibilities.
Get Your Ass To Mars are a four piece pop punk explosion hailing from Southampton. The band was formed in early 2008 from ex members of punk band Sacdafrash and ska-punkers Zero Consent who still had the taste and desire to write and perform great songs. The guys quickly set about establishing a set of fast paced, melodic pop punk songs packed with powerful riffs, toe-tapping bass lines and vocals hooks that will stick in your mind for days. With over 20 years of gigging experience between them, Get Your Ass To Mars know exactly what to do when it comes to performing a diverse set of tunes full of twists and turns to keep the listener on their toes.
Get Your Ass To Mars are all about having fun and playing the music they grew up with and would like nothing more than to share that with likeminded music lovers.
